Thanks. I started a thread last year about reading IPTC data, which I have
code for now,
(thanks, Bob!) but I still get this error for many images. Just wondering if there is a general way
of reading incompatible tags (which libtiff currently ignores)
Cheers,
Aaron

Hi Aaron:
There was a thread about this maybe two-three months ago, it's been seen by others too. Maybe browse the list archive?

I am trying to read the TIFFTAG_RICHTIFFIPTC tag, and I am getting an "incompatible type" warning from libtiff. Is there a way of forcing libtiff to read this tag, even though there is an incompatibility?
Many thanks,
