However, without wanting to sound too negative, Windows XP is thoroughly

Unfortunately, Windows XP is still very important (to some) since it is baked into a great many products such as point of sale systems and display systems. Upgrading the OS would mean discarding the whole system (a system might be as big as a car), which means a forklift replacement.
