Ick, That sure is unfortunate.

I see that the account has almost no activity whatsoever -- one recent but completely empty repo, and a second that hasn't been touched for 4 years and doesn't have a single star or fork. Has anybody contacted the

they'd be willing to give/sell the account?

I tried while back when this was last discussed; I certainly looked at how to contact them, but I didn't get a reply. However, I can't actually find a record of the message I sent, so I can't be 100% sure I sent one. My memory is a bit fuzzy after a few months doing other stuff!

Looking at their repo https://github.com/libtiff/AndroidCalculator.git there's an email address Antony - LibTiff <bboyjcm at hotmail.com>.

Looking at their "Screw IT" employer, I found https://www.facebook.com/Screw-IT-419099591497953/ which appears to be them as well. As is the website libtiff.eu5.net. However, I don't do facebook. But that might be one way to contact them for anyone with an account. The website also lists twitter and other such things, but I don't use any of these things either.

I've asked about claiming an "unused" github account before, and it could well be that there's a lot of hidden usage in private repos which you can't see. But if anyone else wanted to attempt to contact them, you might have better luck than me.

Roger
