I looked at the TIFF spec for standard tags, and googled for many more.

There is a directory of 'known' tags, here:

http://www.awaresystems.be/imaging/tiff/tifftags.html

By 'known' tags, I mean either

• tags that are in the specification
• tags that are in specifications build on top of tiff
• private tags, that became known or public in some way

There are many more, that are known only to the particular vendor that uses them, and I believe most of MS and related tags are in this category. Typically, these are of limited use, though. That is the main rationale behind the tag directory including only those tags that are known enough to at least provide a good description...

If you do find info on anything not included in the tag directory, please consider contributing that info.
