When an image shows up with blasted out pink and green, I always suspect a confusion over RGB vs. YCbCr.
This image has tags for both:
Photometric Interpretation: RGB color
YCbCr Subsampling: 2, 2
My guess is that it should be
"Photometric Interpretation: YCbCr"
And things would work a lot better.
TiffTechNote 2 requires that if the underlying JPEG compression uses YCbCr, then the TIFF layer must tell the truth and say it is a YCbCr image and not lie (for compatibility) and say it is RGB.
