Indeed, maptools.org has moved recently. The old server was very stable and Alan reported this last uptime report:

20:27:41 up 2390 days,  1:50,  1 user,  load average: 0.38, 0.20, 0.20

I have confirmed cvs.maptools.org is also not working for me now. I have contacted Alan Boudreault, the administrator of the server to see what can be done.

The first thing I notice is that this IP address isn't where maptools used to be. Has the server been relocated? Maybe somebody forgot to poke a hole in its firewall for CVS?
