There needs to be an established policy whether it is OK to send attachments to this list.
In particular, I would suggest that the following types of attachments be discouraged:
- Those containing contact info, such as .vcf or winmail.dat files,
- Those containing a copy of the message, often as an HTML file.
For what it's worth, if the total length of a posting is more than 20k it's automatically rejected. This usually only happens when someone attaches a large image (which is not OK).
