I would like to stress again that these have not been allocated

Frank,

Thank you very much, that is nice clean excellent documentation, leaving me with no work other then cutting and pasting.

My personal opinion on the non-registered issue is that

  1. The tag reference exists in order to document. Tags being not registered, does not deminish the need to document them.
  2. In fact, tags being not registered, yields the possibility of conflict, sooner or later, and that is in fact an additional reason to document them so that others will try to avoid them, and so that we can sort things out should problems ever arise.

Here's the new URL's:

http://www.awaresystems.be/imaging/tiff/tifftags/searchresults.html?q=gdal

is a search query that pops up the two GDAL tags.

http://www.awaresystems.be/imaging/tiff/tifftags/gdal_metadata.html
http://www.awaresystems.be/imaging/tiff/tifftags/gdal_nodata.html

is the two tags.

Thanks again. Hopefully people will want to follow your example. It will yield some extra visibility for them, and we can hope to build a good tag directory in the long run.
