2003.04.16 14:14 "what to do when a LZW clear code is encountered", by Carter John-jcarte01
I was wondering
if a clear code (256 dec) is encountered in a LZW compressed strip after retrieving 512 + codes, ie the code length is 10 or greater, as well as wiping the table for positions 258 and above, should the codes retrieved counter (what's used to determine when to switch from 9 to 10, 10 to 11, 11 to 12 bit code lengths) also be reset since the table has been shrunk.
I don't think this is explicitly mentioned in the v6 spec

Homer: There's 3 ways to do things, the right way, the wrong way, and the max power way.
Bart: isn't that the wrong way.
Homer: yea but faster.
