On the tiff spec (v6.0) the Directory entry has a value that can be also an offset (if the actual value does not fit on 4 bytes). Is this offset number from the begining of the stream (or file) or from where the value is?

If we have a multipage TIFF, is the offset of the next IFD from begining of strream (or file) or from where the pointer is?

Thank you in advance for our help.

Harring.
