This is great to know. While I have downloaded/installed libtiff (tiff-3.8.2.zip) on my UNIX server, I do not have tiffcrop installed as one of the utilities.How can I configure/install this. Configure/make didn't create this. I'm no developer, so need a bit of help if possible in getting

this set-up.

If all you want is to correct an improperly set tag, why not use tiffset. If you need to rewrite the data to pacify lame TIFF readers, use tiffcrop with the -I flag. The support is limited to grayscale and bilevel images and it does not take into account any tags that might imply other than linear scaling of pixel values, eg 0 becomes 255 and 255 becomes 0 for 8 bit grayscale.
