You know, not 30 seconds after I sent the question I noticed "warmerdam" was the commenter who said that, I didn't realize it was upstream to libtiff source.

Is the next release coming soon? We have to make a release of our own and I want to know if it's worth waiting for 4.0.3 or should I just patch it now?

Without makine a firm commitment, I expect that the next libtiff release will occur within the next couple of weeks.

It would be useful if all interested parties could verify that the current content of libtiff CVS is acceptable for a release.
