Now I'm curious how this will influence the Itanium port ;-)
As a random guess, I would assume that the memory map will have a hole in it from the 2GB to 4 GB range, much as Windows has a 384 KB hole in it from 640KB to 1 MB to allow for DOS compatibility. Just a guess.
