Is there a way to add watermark to a tiff image using libtiff? If so, can you refer me a document that have such explained and even better an example?

Are you talking about watermarking as supported by Digimarc (http://www.digimarc.com/)?

Watermarking means different things to different people. Do you mean a visible watermark as with bond paper, or an invisible watermark? Does it need to be able to survive popular lossy compression methods?
