DNG requires support for a linear range of bits-per-sample rather than the few common ones that tiffcp supports.

I will try to figure this part out. btw, what is the entire possible range?

The spec says 8 to 32 bits per sample. This means that depths like 10, 12, 13, and 14 should work.

The tags themselves are no big deal.

I havent really checked this part. Will adding DNG tag entries in tiffcp's "cpTag tags[]" array be enough or will I have to do something non-tivial? (coding handlers for individual tags?)

This is not an area I have experience in. I expect that the tiff library should be extended to know about the tags. This is on the TODO list.

Ok, thanks.
