It seems that the existing collection of TIFF sample images dates back to when Sam Leffler was maintaining libtiff. An image was added in 2003 but it seems that the next most recent image dates from 1997.

Is libtiff open to including additional sample images in the libtiff 'pics' archive?

Yes, of course, any image which covers different TIFF feature is welcome. The only constraints is a size and copyright (mean absence of the one :-). Images should be valid TIFF files, not the broken ones, even if such sort of breakage supported by libtiff.
