Hi all,

I develop an open source image editor for Mac OS X called Seashore (http://seashore.sourceforge.net/).

The program uses libtiff because it provides better control over TIFF creation than Cocoa. The program just upgraded to libtiff 3.8.0.

After the upgrade the program was struck by the TIFFTAG_ICCPROFILE bug mentioned in the Friesenhahn post. [1]

After applying the Kiselev patch the problem appeared fixed. [2]

I just wanted to let you guys know that others were experiencing the problem too and express my support for Bob's idea of a quick 3.8.1 release to fix the problem.

Mark.
