I'm creating TIFF files on a windows platform and would like to get the filesize of the created file. I could simply close the file and use OS calls to lookup the size but, for performance reasons, I'd rather not make any additional OS calls if I don't need to.

Is there a way of retrieving the filesize before closing the file? I notice that TIFFFileno returns the underlying file decsriptor (an int). COuld I use this somehow?
