Folks,

I am pleased to announce the release of libgeotiff 1.4.0. There are no changes since 1.4.0RC2. This release includes:

• An upgrade of EPSG support files to EPSG 7.9.
• Support for Cylindrical Equal Area.
• Fix for serious issues with false easting/northing units handling.
• Added GeogTOWGS84 tag to hold TOWGS84 transforms (not part of the GeoTIFF Specification)
• A variety of bug fixes, full details in the ChangeLog

Note that this release is binary *incompatible* with libgeotiff 1.3.0 due to changes in the layout of the public GTIFDefn structure.
