What happens when 8 bytes per 'size' is not enough? Do we then call it .t16? Can't be .tf16 as that is 4 chars. Doesn't seem sensiblethat the 8 is there.

It's a TIFF file - I'm probably not one of the 'N', but my vote goes for .tif[f].
