I've been looking around to see when BigTiff will be fully supported and I cant seem to find a date. It seems to say July 2007. Is the current version 4.0 beta2 enough to just open and read jpeg compressed tiles from a bigtiff image?

While the library is not yet formally released, it works for me. A few days ago I was writing images with dimensions 500000x500000 with it.
