1999.06.15 12:20 "one kind of tiff---gel", by Jing Wu

Hi,

I am working on some X-ray diffraction images. It is saved in the format of certain kind of tiff. Its three letter extension is *.gel. The producer of the hardware is Molecular Dynamics. I only know that it has a 16 bit color resolution.

I am interested in the follwoing:

1. The file format.
2. Is there any source code avaialbe to read and write this kind of file.
3. If there is no specific information for gel file, what is the general file format for tiff and is there any source code available to read and write tiff.

This is a pretty newbie question.
