You are most likely right, but I am a bit hesitant to unlink something which was not unlinked before :-) I will think about that a bit more, probably I will add this function too.

What file did you make the change in?

All changes should be localized in tiffcp.c.

As a compromise, perhaps a command line option could be added which turns on this behaviour?
