i want to use LZW Kompression in TIFF Files. I am using libtiff to generate TIFF files.

Can use please tell me under which circumstances i can do this?

I doubt you will get a valid legal opinion from anyone on this list. The general impression is that the LZW patent has expired in most (if not all) countries and for that reason we have re-enabled LZW compression by default in libtiff.

So, as far as I know it is ok, but you are the one taking the risk.
