libtiff automatially assumes TIFF files are binary. This is handled in
Hm. Just found, that "b" has a different meaning with libtiff anyway (in clientopen).
Anyway, that "rb"/"wb" issue isn't relevant for plain open() - apologies: that happens if one gets too used to one's own code ;)
